If you are a Real Estate agent, you have probably scratched your head over ways to capture more leads through your website. Getting leads is a key element in any business, especially those that rely heavily on online-marketing. In order for you to focus on what you do best - sell real estate – you should be able to rely on a website that works for you 24/7 on getting those potential clients. Here are a few tips to boost your lead generation.

-          Optimized contact forms

While web-marketing is not an exact science, there is so much data to compare from that some solid trends have emerged when it comes to dos and don’ts in contact forms. It is amazing how the slightest change can impact a visitor’s decision to sign up: the shape of a button, the position of the form on the page, the number of fields. The general rule is that fewer fields is always better. Visitors aren’t always inclined to give too much info away and keeping form fields to a bare minimum usually results in a significant increase in signups.

-           Improved Calls to Action

The key here is incentive. There is a lot of Real Estate websites out there, and chances are your potential clients have already visited a lot of them. Why would they give their personal information to you? You must be creative and give them good reasons. For example, a simple “Submit” button will always be outperformed by one that says “Get a FREE market report”. Your visitors want to know what benefits they can get by signing up on your website, so it is always a good idea to provide them with a free service such as a map of the area, a market report, a buyer’s guide, a house evaluation…

-           Create content that targets your audience

Your visitors will not sign up if you are not who they are looking for. Create content that is relevant to your business and your clientele. Create high-quality blog posts and optimize them with trending keywords. Most potential buyers do not start their first search by Googling the term “Real Estate”. However they are likely to type “3 bedroom single-family homes for sale in Irvine”. Use Google Analytics to see where your traffic comes from and you will be surprised by the variety of long-tail keywords that bring you traffic. Those qualified visitors are the ones you want to target, and once you find the right keyword mix and prove to be a valuable resource with quality content, they will have every reason to sign up.

Finally, you want to be able to keep track of your leads. Our Sold 5 custom Content Management System allows you to manage your listings, your team, your events and your leads. When a visitor signs up, you get an email notification that tells you the origin of the lead and the inquiry. If you log into your Sold 5 account, you will see a list of leads that you can organize by name, origin, sign-up date, and find all of the contact information they gave you in one place. You can assign leads to different agents to simplify the workflow, and enter a follow-up date to keep track of the leads you have already contacted. There are many ways for us at SM Sold to custom tailor a solution to your specific needs whether you are a brokerage, team, or individual agent.  For many modern day Realtors, their website is their main source of lead generation so it is important to make sure that you as a Realtor are competing on the same level.  Don’t make getting leads harder than it has to be!
